Monopoly Leeds Takeover

Monopoly Leeds Takeover is a first of its kind city-wide version of the iconic board game. This free, family friendly immersive experience brings the best-selling property trading game to life, using key locations and landmarks as the gameboard with life-size tokens, clues and puzzles around every corner.

When Monopoly was introduced into the UK in 1936 the very first game was played in England by Norman Watson (the then Managing Director of John Waddington Ltd) at his home in Horsforth, Leeds. Following that Waddingtons was granted a licence to manufacture Monopoly, which it did from its factory on Wakefield Road, Hunslet, Leeds.

Come play this immersive game as Monopoly takes over Leeds city centre between 27th July - 1st September 2024 and be sure to visit our shop in the Leeds Corn Exchange and 'Go to jail' while you're in the Leeds Corn Exchange with a special selfie spot housed on the lower ground floor. Pay a visit and it won’t cost you £50 to get out!
